Mini Sessions: UTAH edition!

Two blog posts in one week -WOW, I'm on a roll!

Who is ready for another round of Mini Sessions? Well, if you're in the Utah area, you may be in luck! On Saturday, March 17th I am planning on being in the Lehi, UT area and would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the opportunity to meet new people and to shoot in a totally new location. These sessions are the BEST! So many of my clients tell me after their shoot how much they loved it and how it was the perfect amount of time for their kids.

Is a Mini Photo Shoot something that tickles your fancy? Than here are the details. If you live in or around Lehi, UT and are interested in this, shoot me an e-mail. And if you know someone that you think would interested, please forward the information.

Cost is $100. Payment is due before your shoot starts. You must be on time, preferably 10 minutes early, since sessions are booked back to back.
Location: Lehi, UT. (Exact location to be announced later.)
Features of Mini Photo Sessions;
1. 20 minute Photo Shoot of your family (Some of you may be thinking, TWENTY minutes? What can you shoot in twenty minutes? Answer: a whole heck of A LOT)
2. Final Images that are touched up, mix of Color and BW toning.
3. High Res Disc of your Final Images (yep, you get to keep the images and print them wherever you’d like)

FIVE TIME SLOTS to CHOOSE FROM:

The 5 time slots will depend on the location which will be chosen at a later time.

I did this shoot with my awesome friend Shadoe and her cute family clear back in April. Embarrassing, I know. In 2011, I was a lazy blogger, so here's to hoping 2012 is a lot better. Anyway, I had a lot of fun doing this shoot with the Wankiers and then later, Shadoe stuck around and helped me with another shoot. That post will be next -I PROMISE!!

Elijah - Newborn Sweetness!

Don't you just want to snuggle and kiss all over this little guy? Mmm...... Elijah was such a sweet and good baby. His Dad held a blow dryer the whole session as white noise and he slept the whole time and let us do just about anything with him. Just look at him. He is such a sweetheart, absolutely adorable and so tiny and perfect! Yea, I'm baby hungry.

Can you believe that we're already half way through July? Time goes so fast these days. This is also the time where family photos for Fall start booking up and I'm happy to say that 2 families are already on the calendar.

Okay, now to the topic of this blog post. I love, love, love this and I'm so excited to announce that I’ve got a special opportunity for five families or couples! On Saturday, September 24th I will be doing five Mini Sessions at Floyd Lamb Park. If a Photo Shoot is something that tickles your fancy with Fall right around the corner, here are the details!

So you wanna know how bad I've been at blogging lately? These pictures of my good friend Rachael were taken last June..... yea, 11 months ago. We were two big prego ladies trotten' around taking some glam maternity's all the while being yelled at by another photographer for getting in his shot. "Umm excuse me Ugly Guy #1, we were so there first!!! Don't tick off two tired pregos people, it's just not cool!" Anyway, Rachael as always looked amazing and now get this, her little guy is 8 1/2 months old now and she is expecting her second little surprise. Don't expect those maternity's to be up for another 2 years! :)

I first met Rhonda about a year and half ago when I was the preschool teacher of her adorable 4 year old, Evan. "Gosh how I miss that kid and his hilarious personality everyday!" I like to believe that Rhonda and I became good friends very quickly- it's like our personalities made the perfect mesh! I have known Kristi for a few years now and I was SHOCKED TO SAY THE LEAST to hear how her and Edward met.... let's just say, these two are meant to be. My heart goes pitter-patter when I think about it! A couple months later they were engaged and than married a couple months after that..... Edward coudn't wait to marry his lady so they kept moving up the date. These two are so funny together and were my most comfortable and laid back couple to date! Something I've been needing to do for about two years now, but because of the ugly economy and my love for my clients, YES, I'm talking about YOU, I kept pushing it back, and back and back some more. Well, the time has come and hear it is.

But, because I am a thrifty gal and always on the search for good deals, I want to do the same to all my pretty people out there.

Rachael and Jeremy are great and have done what I DO. NOT. think I could survive. For a year, Rachael lived and worked here in Vegas while Jeremy worked and lived in California, only to see each other about once a month on weekends. So when Jeremy finally made it to Vegas, (for good) they were due for some fun photos together. Their love is very evident as you can see. They're amazing and I was so thrilled to learn that they are expecting a little one just two short months behind me. YAY!!! Congratulations again you two! :)

And why is she so stinking CUTE????? She is always on the go and keeps my Mom young and very busy! This year, she started High School.... (GASP), she played VARSITY volleyball, is on Student Council, and apparently one of the most popular girls in school. Are you sure we're sisters??? Normally, she wouldn't be aloud to go to Homecoming until she is 16, but because she is on S.C. she had to go. So, she went with her BFF Sady. They are two cute girls who better keep away from all the boys!!!!!!!!

It's not everyday you see a real life princess, let alone three of them! A few months back I hit Town Square with Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty with Fairytale Couture. Every girl young and old were in awe, even a few teenage boys! ;)
If your planning a birthday party for a special little someone or would like to surprise someone with a singing telegram, consider looking into this company. I personally have attended my share of birthdays, and Fairytale Couture turns an ordinary party into a dream come true!

I have known the Huffines Family for a couple years now, and when they called asking for photos, I was more than thrilled. They took me out to Red Rock where we hiked up and down mountains. Meanwhile, the day before I found out I was pregnant and was secretly freaking out! Ha ha ha...... Then we found "The Spot", awww............. needless to say, I LOVE it, it's so worth the hike and have taken more clients to the exact location. Thanks Huffines, I had a lot of fun! :)

LOVE: These two are SO in it with each other! I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Utah this past August to photograph the wedding of Geoff and Bonnie. BEAUTIFUL. My favorite part of the day was at the reception during the first dance. I must have been standing in front of some teenage girls getting pictures when I heard one of them say to the other, "Geoff if crying while he looks into her eyes, I can't wait until my wedding day." Awww... I was so that girl at that age! Cute girl, I hope she finds her prince too! :)

They were married in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple and let me tell you, it quickly became one of my favorites!

And they lived happily ever after.

Steve is my oldest brother and he is CRAZY and CRAZY GOOD at everything he does. He sings, dances, acts, paints, draws, directs, interior design, modeling, etc. Anything that requires a whole lot of creativity, he can do it! Ha ha ha.... I laugh because it brings me much pleasure knowing that I'm better at taking pictures than him. It's the only thing on my list though. For his shoot, we were up and at em' by 6 a.m. and went to 3 different locations. By the end of it, I was one tired little sister!

You know some of those people just have it.... and when they smile/naturally look gorgeous, you end up smiling right along with them. Well ladies and gents, meet Kristen.

We had such a blast shooting her portraits at Lake Las Vegas. It was about 110 degrees and I was literally melting away and Kristen still managed to look polished.

The pictures above is currently in a "Perfect Portrait Contest" right now. I wont find out the results from the "official judges" until around February. How do they expect me to wait that long??? :)

It was my deep pleasure to do this little guys newborn pictures. He is such a sweet baby and I'm already in love with him. Mr. T :) was born in June and is now a whopping 14 lbs. complete with chubby thighs and the cutest double chin you'll ever see. He's positively delicious!!!

Yep that's right, a beautiful little boy in fact. This is my good friend, and when she was near delivering it dawned on her that she really did want to remember what it was like when she carried her little son inside her for 9 months. So she asked me to get a few shots and this was the result. I had to promise her I wouldn't put her face on here, GOSH..... pregnant woman are so picky! Ha ha ha... J/K. Next up are the newborn shots of her beautiful baby boy!

This week for the iheartfaces challenge is
"Funny, Silly Faces."
This is a picture of my brother and his son last Christmas while shooting his family pictures for their upcoming Christmas card. The place that we were had huge banners of peoples happy faces on them and my brother wanted to join in on the fun. My brother is very animated and crazy, and by the looks of it, he created a little monster just like him. I find this picture quite "Silly" if you ask me.

While attending my Family Reunion this summer in the Utah mountains, I found myself sitting in the grassy meadows as the sun was setting. I'm so sorry everyone, I have been such a "Bad Blogger" lately. I am in the middle of creating a great new website. It's time consuming and a lot of work, but it's going to be great! I'm on a tight deadline to get it up on the web live, and I will let you all know when you can check it out! So stay tuned! :)

My session with Rachael was one of the best! We had so much fun together and I think we laughed about 95% of the time. This girl is awesome, she was willing to do anything for a great picture. She sat in dirt, on a dumpster and got yucky gunk of who knows what on her leg and was even yelled at by a local bum. It didn't faze her though, she rocked it and looked great! Enjoy!

I knew these girls when they were about 8 years old. Time just flew by and here we are 10 years later. Elaina and Brianne braved the wicked winds and were even up and about for their 6:30 a.m. photo shoot. Yes, I do believe, they have sure grown up. Good luck with school girls!

I love to hear of my couples engagement stories...... and Beth and Mikes was no exception. For Christmas Beth made Mike a coupon book and one of those coupons said, "I'll go anywhere and do anything with you." So Mike took that coupon and ran with it. When the time presented itself, Mike turned in that coupon into Beth on bended knee and asked her to marry him. So cute....... stay tuned for their wedding pictures!

Okay, so it's for my sister, but still, it was custom ordered! :) So first of all, my sister is putting these first three images in her dining room. What do you think? I think they turned out pretty cool!

And now I take you to the beautiful Las Vegas, NV Temple. Now I have found our Temple to be incredibly difficult to photograph due to all the trees. I got to photograph this wonderful family that I have had the pleasure of knowing the past few years. I taught the 2 oldest kids in preschool. I was so excited to photograph them and their big, beautiful brown eyes! (They're GORGEOUS!)
